Well, I have just completed teaching the first photography workshop at my studio.
THE CREATIVE ART OF PHOTOGAPHY - For Creative People Who Are Not Necesarily Technical!
It was a huge success and many who never ventured off of the Auto Mode of their cameras have discovered a whole new world of photography. I know that all the function buttons on the camera look very foreign and inhibit users to give up the SAFE/ AUTO mode to venture down an unknown path. But together the class learned about each camera function and took cotrol of their image making so they can now be picture makers instead of picture takers!
In four weeks the camera became a tool to create photographs. It was a great leaning experience sharing the images that each person created from the Creative Projects. I hope all continue to use the knowledge they attained and let their imagination be the inspiration for their photography.
The next workshop will be held in January so that anyone receiving a camera as a holiday gift can immediately get the knowledge they need to use their camera as a tool.

Children's Halloween Costume Contest

All we ask is for each contestant to contribute non perishable food to our food baskets. With your help we can fill the shelves of the local Food Pantry.

Bunny Day 2009
In celebration of "spring" we photographed children with bunnies. The children enjoyed their special time with the bunnies and as you will see we got some great expressions. The bunnies were on loan from the 4H club at Ward's Berry Farm and I must say they were the most photogenic bunnies I've ever worked with!

In these trying times, it is our friendships that get us through. The daily news reminds us that all that we have worked so hard to accumulate can be gone in an instant by no fault of our own. Relationships are woven with indestructible fibers and can withstand all that is uncertain in this world. When I capture that unique bond that defines the joy and warmth of a relationship, I am reminded of all that is good in this time of uncertainty! Enjoy these images. Photographing Children with Pets
They say that every picture tells a story. Add a pet to the picture and you get the whole book! Pets
have a magical way of bringing out the spontaneity of children. Capturing that special relationship is priceless and I am delighted every time I have the opportunity to create these portraits.
Photographing children with bunnies
At this time of year I start to look for signs of spring like the first robin or a tulip pushing its way through the frozen earth. Celebrating spring also means photographing children with bunnies! This year we are reserving the bunnies for March 28.
When my daughter Tracee asked "What do you want for your birthday?" I knew exactly what I wanted! A photo session with my granddaughter. It is so exciting watching my grandbabies grow and to be able to capture these precious moments is a blessing. Myla is almost four months and warms my heart with her precious smile.
